You're only invited if you tell me your screen name! It simply wouldn't be fair if you know mine and I don't know who you are!

That's fair.
I just asked my midwife if I can go to my stepdaughter's concert (45 mins from my house) and they said no, so I'm assuming yours (4 hours away) is probably out too Crying

I was just at a bar mitzvah where they had these by every place-it was round, the tefillin chocolate on top, and had his name on it instead of mazel tov.

You mean it? Why'd she say no? 45 minutes at your stage isn't so bad.

Middy, we're actually thinking of making our next bar mitzvah in the NY area so more of our relatives can come. (In a year and a half) In the meantime, b'sha'ah tovah!

I'm really serious, you're all invited:) And I'll be wearing that silvery dress from Nordstrom in case you don't want to ask around in shul, "which one is Tranquility?"

Gut Shabbos!!

[quote="TranquilityAndPeace"]I called my rav! He answered on the first ring and said it's fine if people will eat it, but not if they need to cut it!

I used a chocolate mold for the tefillin that I bought from Chana Eichorn here who sells fancy baking things.

Tova, you know me via facebook, I just don't know if you know that I'm T&P.

If photos aren't showing up on your computer, can you use another computer? Are you at work? Do you have a home computer or smart phone?

Does anyone think that the Mazel Tov makes the cookie less classy, as it's handwritten rather than typed or stenciled in?[/quote
I would not eat the mazel tov ones - we do not eat any food with words on.
Your rav paskened for you, but if you want to cater to everyone who comes to the kiddush, perhaps it would be safest to leave the words off.

There will be PLENTY of other delicious things to eat.

And, keep in mind that I live in Baltimore. ('nuff said!)
