I have kindergarten and eighth grade graduates. My 8th grader is pretty sad that she is not in a school and being part of a formal graduation ceremony. My kindergartener doesn't care, but the 8th grader does. She is also really disappointed that she is missing out on the graduation trips and parties that her friends are getting in school. We did tell her that we would take a special family trip to DC, but I am not sure that's going to be a good replacement for her.
Any ideas on what to do for a graduation for a homeschooled kids?
Thanks!

I also thought a big graduation party at home for her with her friends and a special gift for her, or if its possible maybe one parent can take just her on a graduation trip.
