My 20 month old and almost 3 year old have become really picky eaters.
Breakfast I usually give them cereal or yogurt and they usually eat it and sometimes condition their hair with the yogurt (!!!)
But once they are back from gan I dont know what to give them. The only thing I have seen them eat well is french fries and pizza. But how much of that can I possibly give them! I find that I spend so much time making lunch and supper and they never eat it. Even pasta they give me a hard time. Ive tried sooo many quiche recipes... chicken and meat dishes they sometimes eat but not usually and I find myself just giving in and giving them yet again another yogurt.
Please help! has anyone come across a recipe that most kids like?
I need lunch and supper ideas.
TIA!

oh and ive tried pancakes too even with chocolate chips and those barely go! And obviously I would like to try to give them healthy foods too, so not only do I need recipes for things they will eat but always ways to sneak in some veggies...
thanks!

turkey roll and french fries
sandwich
fish sticks and mashed potato
quartered eggs or eggs from the egg slicer if you have
avocado, banana, and cheese or chicken cubes
chicken cutlet cut into strips
cut fruit
tuna patties and canned corn
tuna and cucumber sandwiches
give the older one a toothpick to eat with. it just makes everything more fun!

Grilled cheese sandwich
Peanut butter sandwich

By the way yogurts are a pretty good stable for a small child, if you had to choose something.

my 3 yr old also just wants pizza and french fries. I have stopped makiing it an option. I give him 2 healthy choices if he dooesnt want it then he doesnt eat. If he skips a meal he just eats more at the next meal and he is very hungry so will eat what is offered.

My kids are very picker eaters also.
Usually, what one eats, the other will not. So, I often have to cook more than one meal.
Certain staples go well. They like farina/matza Brie (respectively), pasta with cheese, meatballs and spaghetti, and cheese sandwiches. They used to love chicken; not anymore. One loves burgers, the other not. One likes cheese latkes, the other not. They won't even touch or try tuna. I also struggle with meals.

main dishes:

homemade falafel
scrambled eggs
noodles and cheese
baked ziti
chicken drumsticks (my kids like sweet chicken)
pineapple meatballs
hot dogs (on very rare occasion)
cottage cheese with cinnamon
farmers cheese
cheese latkes
almond flour pancakes
stuffed baked potatoes
pizza
meatloaf
chicken soup (a favorite around here. they eat the chicken and veggies in it)
meat soup (same as chicken, but with cholent meat instead)
stir fry

side dishes:

pasta
rice
potatoes
corn on the cob
salad
cucumbers
tomatoes
french fries
potato knishes
applesauce
grapes
pears
apples
peaches
bananas (as a treat, drizzle honey on sliced bananas and lightly sprinkle with cinnamon)
pickles
baby corn
strawberries
blueberries
etc.

I try to have a main course in mind and cut up whatever fruit/veggies we have in the fridge. I keep a lot of fresh produce around.

oh, and I have been trying to get my kids to drink plain milk more often. they got used to chocolate milk in school. if they don't want plain milk, I put a drizzle of honey in it. honey gets thicker when it's cold, so it doesn't fully mix in. they basically get a sweet treat at the end of a plain cup of milk. they love it.

do you have a kid cookbook?

my DS LOVES recipes from family meals by annabel karmel- I am a huge fan of her books and recipes in general.
