We are looking to move from Brooklyn to Lakewood. Does anyone have the number for the office at Regency to see if they have any availabilities? We looked at west lake and are happy with it, but are any of the other developments more "balabatish" in the sense that the overall majority of families don't have the husband in chinuch or kollel and the husband or both parents work?

Any numbers or info would be REALLY appreciated!!!

In most developments in Lakewood the homes are privately owned and there isn't really a rental office (except for west gate). In most places you are going through the individual home owners.

One good place to start is with the Masa U'Matan - an advertisement magazine in town that lists available rentals.
http://bnblakewood.com/ is a new website that also lists rentals - you could try there or http://www.scooplistings.com

Are you looking to buy or rent? and do you specifically want to live in a development?

Thanks so much!! I looked at the site and there really isn't anything with more than 3 bedrooms which is what we would need.
We are willing to look at places outside of a development, but we would like to rent for the first year or so until we get aclimated to Lakewood vs Brooklyn. Are there homes for rent? how would someone find such listings?

Are the developments generally comprised of learning/kollel/chinuch families?

Thanks so much for all your help- its really appreciated!!

The Masa u'matan has a large listing every week of lots of rentals. You could try calling them and see if they can fax\e-mail you the list - their list is not online.

there are houses for rent in Lakewood, the difficulty is that you have to contact the individual owners of each house.
