My dd left her sem and found a very, very nice family in Efrat to stay with. I want to get them a gift that they can use. They live in Efrat and have 4 young kids under the age of 9. They are both professionals.
I got a MP3 player that is very smal and could be shipped easily. Would they have to pay a duty or tax on it?
Should I just get them gift card for Amazon so they can order what they want? Our rabbi in US has a daughter who makes gift baskets of chocolate for Channukah. (They are a bit pricey for what's in them; however it would be nice to support her as well. ) I thought it might be nicer to get them something lasting.
I don't have a lot of money, but I am so very grateful to them. She has been helping around the house, yet she has been staying there for close to 3 weeks and they didn't know her from before but have come to be very close and fond of her.
