I could use some gift ideas for my nieces and nephews in their twenties. The price range should be about $50 -$75. Resturant gift certificates will not work.

TIA

What kinds of things do they enjoy? I'm assuming they aren't married. If they are, what about stuff for the house?

A leather wallet? A cashmere sweater? Tickets to a game or a show? Perfume/cologne? Games for a game system?

They are not married. I would prefer not to give gift certificates.

I don't know enough about gaming systems. The wallets are a possibility. I don't know what they have. What is a good brand?

Coach has men and women.
Perry Ellis/Calvin Klein for men
There's also Bosco for men but that's probably expensive..

Tickets to a sports game , concert or show also sounds like a great idea

The gift basket wouldn't work because my sister did that.

The ties seem interesting. What brand of ties do single men in their twenties like? I don't know anything about ties. My DH does not wear them. I would like something up to date. Is my price range reasonable for a tie?

IDK anything about sports or concerts to buy tickets. I also don't know about shows. They don't live in NY, but maybe one would come in for a Broadway show.

Broadway shows often travel to different cities. You can Google "Broadway shows [name of city] to see whats available in their area. Read a synopsis of the show to see if it sounds like something they would like. Or try cirque de soleil.

Are these in my price range? If they are, would you kindly tell me what is in style? My nephews are all aspiring professionals either in grad school or applying. They live in New England of that makes a difference in tie selection. I don't know what colors, patterns or widths to look for.

Thank you.

I would love to receive two such gift baskets. you can buy perfume or something instead, though.

honestly, I'm not one to spend money on ties, but I'm sure you can get nice ones within that range. buy them and include gift receipts if you're worried they won't like them.

I agree- buy at a store like nordstrom, and include a gift receipt so they can exchange if they want. Ties are really subject to personal style and taste. You can ask the salesperson for recommendations based on how they typically dress. Best bet is to make it easy for them to exchange.

I like Nordstroms. This time of year I would order from the internet.

I am not sure about the female gift.

Banana Republic should definitely work for a young man in his 20s.

Bloomingdales or nordstroms would be a good olace to shop, they make returns / exchanges so easy.
Ive found really nice ties at century 21.
I think regular ties slightly on the thiner side are in.very skinny ties are a little too hip and your nephews have to have that look going, unless youve seen them wearing those stick to basic widths .
Think about the colors they normally wear when choosing the tie. Do thet birmally wear black & white? Muted colors and simple dress? Or are they "flashy" let that guide you..
For your nieces you could look to get them a scarf, perfume, gloves, or gift certficate to manicure pedicure ( imo thats different than just a gc to a store)
Good luck!

I like MaBelleVie idea of coach wristlet:
http://www.coach.com/online/ha.....ier=2
but like with all the gifts you would probably want to get it from somewhere they can easily return to.

leather gloves
