ATT DESIGNERS: where can I get art that is legal for logos?

For example, istockphoto.com and shutterstock.com both prohibit use of their illustrations in logos. So where can I search and purchase inexpensive illustrations that are licensed for logos?

Certain sites allow you to search based on specific licensing rights. For example:
1) Google Advanced Image Search (http://www.google.com/advanced_image_search?hl=en) allows you to limit the Usage Rights to "Free to use, share, or modify, even commercially"

2) Creative Commons (http://search.creativecommons.org/) allows you to search across many websites (including Flickr) for images that you may use for commercial use and/or modify

The most generous Creative Commons license allows the end user to: "distribute, remix, tweak, and build upon your work, even commercially, as long as they credit you for the original creation. This is the most accommodating of licenses offered. Recommended for maximum dissemination and use of licensed materials."

Of course the more generous the license, the fewer images will be available.
