I've been married for a little over 6 months and have been wearing hats or tichels since then. I've recently decided it might be time to invest in a sheital. I never saw myself as wearing a sheital (the women in my family are all some variation of hat wearers) but the need for a more professional look for work and the standards of the neighborhood I live in are pointing me towards taking the leap. I live in the Flatbush area (moved here just after getting married) but don't know where to start looking. There are sheital shops all around but I am not sure where to start, I am not even sure what to do when I walk in, everyone seems to know exactly what they want and I need some more assistance than the average shopper I suppose. Also, another factor that has prevented me from getting a sheital earlier was the cost. My DH and I don't have much discretionary income and I will probably need one of the least expensive sheitals out there! Any suggestions of friendly, lower priced sheital shops that would be a good fit for someone like me? Thank you!
