is there a possibility for my dh and me to get a normal/ good paying job? is the situation really that bad? do people not have money?

dh no degree! is very good in organizing and bochurim! he didn't decide yet what he wants to work in
me degree as secretary in basically any field! me looking for an office job

The cost of living in Lakewood is less than NY but so are the salaries especially if you dont have a degree. There are many secretarial jobs but there are also many capable people so you can be getting paid anywhere from 12-17 an hour, possibly more. Dh pays his secretary 17 but I think most places pay much less. A lot of people own their own businesses and bh do very well. There are many opportunities here and you can buy a nice size house for a fraction of what you would be paying for a bp home.
