How much or what do you bring to a wedding that you and your husband attend? What if only one of you go?

The answer will depend strongly on where you live.

Customs are very different in, say, US vs Israel vs Europe Vs S. America, etc.

I agree with Dr. Mom. Even within different countries, customs vary greatly. Say, the expected gift at a charedi wedding in Bnei Brak is not the same as the typical gift at a DL wedding in Ra'anana.

I think it depends on how much money one has. For example a single, unmarried unemployed girl going to a wedding of a friend she wouldn't be required to give so much. I can only say in the UK, 30 pound would be fine (around 46 dollars)
If a person/couple is better off financially anywhere from 50 to 200 pound (around 77 - 306 dollars)
it depends on what the person can afford

I wouldn't bring anything to a wedding. It's so hectic that your gift as a big possibility of getting lost. Rather mail something before or after. Any amount is usually appreciated.

There is no "proper" gift or amount! It really depends on your type of relationship with the bride and/or groom and your own finacial standing as well.
Give whatever you feel comfortable giving, bearing in mind that family and close friends normally give larger and more generous gifts than those who are just friendly with the couple.
