I'm still counting. I never used to because I always forget, and was told if you're probably not going to make it through you shouldn't even start with a brocha. But my dh took upon himself to be my "reminder" and for the past few years I've been doing it - and making it! Now he's away for almost two weeks, and he's in a different time zone, so he doesn't remember to remind me. I decided to help myself - I set my phone to ring every night at 8:15 as a reminder.

Of course? We actually hold that sephardi women who count should say it with bracha.
I thought this would be the similar category to hearing shofar.

Funny Smile I guess it depends on who you follow. I count sefira and take lulav and etrog but don't make a bracha. I think it has to do with not being obligated, but I'm not sure.

This is your nightly reminder, brought to you by the letter S and the number 23.

I'm still in the count too.

We have a little sefira calendar with tear-off pages hanging on the refrigerator door, courtesy of BMG Lakewood. So I see it -- and count -- when I forage for snacks in the evening. Very Happy

Don't forget to count tonight!

Rutabaga, thanks to your thread I remembered one night last week. I would have missed that night without it!

Still counting with a Bracha!

My father tells this joke every year:

A guy told his friend "My wife is really into counting this year. Last night I asked her what was for supper, and she said, 'yesterday was chicken'"!

Cute story!

I missed counting last night. I went to bed with a splitting headache and fell asleep before 8. Luckily, I stopped by my parents today and was reminded by the sefira chart on their fridge. So there is still hope for cheesecake!

Don't forget to count tonight.
