I guess they don't all hatch the same day ... imagine having quadruplets days apart ...

and this is where we say 'shelo asani a birdy'

Another update! There are still just 2 babies. Looks like that's all there's going to be. Here's a newer photo of them. I can't believe how much they've grown in such a short time!

OMGosh, so precious!!!!

My prepubescent boy (4 mo PF) mated with an older lovebird (one who I thought was a boy).

I'm hoping they were successful, but still waiting for eggs.

Awe. I hope it works out! Lovebirds make amazing parents, which is a relief since I've dealt with terrible ones. (I've never had a good cockatiel parent, ever. Confused )

****Another Update!

Out of the 6 eggs, only 2 were viable. They are thriving! The sweetest little guys! I've been hand feeding them for the last few weeks.

They're so sweet! Mazal tov!

I've got two couples just mating away, but no eggs yet. Both males may be too young.

I'm so excited for you. Enjoy your precious little baby birds.

Well the parents are at it again! Out of 7 eggs, 1 hatched. Here's a picture of the little guy. Isn't he just adorable? On that note, a couple of my cockatiels have been getting frisky! Perhaps it's time to put a nestbox in their cage as well Very Happy

The lovebird mom and dad do a great job for the first 1 - 2 weeks, but then they get lazy, and start feeding undigested, whole pieces of food. I had to pull him yesterday, and the parents are already making another nest! shock
