Just moved out of town, and need to relocate to NY for a job. (we chose far rock)
We need to move by june 1st- and I have so much to take care of- get my son into day camp, school- and I will be in my 9th month!! I need help with a DR that will accept medicaid (prob united health care) that will take a patient in end of 8th beginning of 9th month. I really want a midwife, but not sure how it works around there. Anyone have any ideas of who I can call that will take me as their patient?

I think Rochel Leiberman takes UHC. She is a midwife.
I don't know anything about taking patient in 8th month

you can call gaia midwifery for Rochel leiberman. she does take uhc. she is highly recommended. I'm using her now ( just switched) but haven't had my first visit yet. I'm just in the beginning of my 7th month. I think she'll take you if she has space.

Yes thank u. I already spoke to her today and I wish it can work out. But it may not cus my 1 hour sugar test was 139 and she said I will need to take the 3 hour test and pass or or I can't use a midwife. So im not sure now I can even use any midwives unless I take the 3 hour test and I really don't want to. My previous pregnancy I had gest. Diabetes and it's pretty pointless to test further. But thanks for the info and recommendation I guess I gotta sort this out fast.

Welcome to the 'hood Smile

I hope a midwife works out for you, but if not I can recommend a regular obgyn who's great. Dr. Herman- 516-358-1200. He is affiliated with LIJ.

Any other questions about the area feel free to ask! Good luck with the move and b'sha'ah tova!
