He's having surgery today, doesn't seem "fine" to me. But I hope it will be totally fine.

Its a knee replacement not a heart one.
Its always good to say tehillim but it sounded as if something serious has happened to him c'v.

ok, refuah shleima, but it seems as if they are concerned because it a long and difficult surgery.

Glad he's fine.

im in contact with the family, as I get my hechsher from rb blumenkrantz.
he is not fine at all.
he broke his hip, was in ICU then and then as planned went into rehab.
then things went downhill, and he had to go back to ICU.
he was transferred to a manhattan ICU.
last I heard he was back in surgery today.
I havent had an update, but tehilim are urgently needed.

does anyone know whats going on with Rabbi Blumnkrantz? I'm trying to figure out if I can still say tehilim for him and its after shkiya.. and I just want to know in general.

Urgent Tehilim is needed for Harav Avrohom Blumenkrantz, noted Rav and Posek from Far Rockaway (Talmid of Rav Moshe Feinstein Zatzal and author of the acclaimed Pesach digest) who is in critical condition. He has unfortunately just taken a turn for the worse (Thursday 12:30AM). His name is Avrohom Ben Devorah.

his warmth.
if u were a student in his class it was there.
when I was teaching yesterday, I almost said
"my dear girls"
then I paused.......and I guess he must have been on my mind, becuase thats how he used to address us, to encourage us to keep the lamed tet melachot carefully.
I am so sad it isnt funny.
a piece of my childhood went with him.
