So far I have only thought of cutting out a 2 shape cake and decorating it.
Any other ideas you've done. Normally I wouldn't bother so much for a 2 year old but since her birthday is 3 days before Purim we're having the cake at the family seuda on purim (she won't know the difference yet) so I want it to look good.
Thanks in advance!

I made a bar-b-que with family for my son's 2nd birthday (it was summer).
I just made a 9x13 chocolate cake and put on it whipped cream and sprinkles. it was pretty and yummy!

Doll cake is the easiest...You can get a plastic doll and poke it into the top of the cake and decorate the doll and the cake.

I did the doll cake for my sis. bake a cake in a bowl (make sure its completely done before you take it out)
turn it flat side down, cover in pink or while icing, and stick a barbie doll in the middle
the cake looks like a ballgown skirt. you can take a fork and make waves or other designs to make the skirt more "fancy"

I don't think a two-year-old is old enough to appreciate the effort. Just put a lot of frosting and sprinkles. She'll enjoy it all the same.

yeah - but her guests will
I once made a beautiful cake for my 2 yr old and my 5 yr old was dancing around the cake singing that she is going to make the same cake for her baby ... hey you never know who will get creative seeing your cake - eh?

I like the cake shaped as number 2 idea, because it reinforces the numbers concept for your toddler

Oh & yehudis, for dd's bday I cut out a rectangle cake (zig-zag cut on top) so it looked like a crown & frosted it. It was pretty simple. I wrote Princess ____.
Or you can just write Happy Bday ____ & buy some plastic balloons or any decoration from a crafts store.
Happy Bday!
