I moved to Israel 5 years ago, we live in Jerusalem in Givat Shaul. We're looking for a place that will be best for us to live, and these are where we're looking. Please add to these suggestions of places, based on my description of us, if you can, or tell me why one of them might be a good fit.
We are an American BT young chareidi family with higher education who want to work and learn. I have a background in psychology so we are very sensitive to certain issues/aware of them/ want to stay away from them. We have chassidisha leanings, are more machmir on things, hardly eat out, wear hat and bekasha on shabbos, but don't have a specific chassidis we follow. We want to have a close relationship with a rebbe, which we do with 2 but we wouldn't fit into their particular communities. Our Hebrew is good and we're good with Israelis but do feel its important to have anglos around for those closer relationships. We want to be in a growth oriented environment. We don't speak Yiddish (yet).
Advice? TIA

I find Ramat Eskol to be more geared towards young American couples who are planning on going back after a few years.
Sanhedria will probably be too black hat.
I would think Har Nof would be a good fit if you want to stay in Yerushalyim.

Are you looking for a place to settle or live in for, say, the next five years?

Have you thought about Givat Zeev Hachadasha? Its a growing new community with a big mix of Chassidim/Litvaks/Americans/Israelis... About 15 minute drive into town
