I think the people having complications are all from the band. I still didn't meet anyone that gained back the weight or had life threating problems from the sleeve. (although my Dr. said he did have a (or a few) paitence that gained back the weight after 10 years and doing it delibertly. The diffrence with the band is that you are hungry, and can't eat. With the sleeve you are so full after one chicken cutlet you can't eat. Good luck op

Look, everything that people wrote here regarding people regaining the weight and/or issues is true and something to be aware of, HOWEVER, if you look up the statistics there is a much higher rate of long term success for morbidly obese (BMI over 40) people through WLS than through diet and exercise alone. You can look it up!
