Looking for a romantic beautiful hotel

I haven't fine away with do for a long time and someone finally agreed to watch our kids for the night. Can anyone recommend a hotel within 2 hours of nyc.
We have been to cove haven a few times and want something different .

The Poconos has lots of nice couples hotels. If you can get away an extra night I would try to get a hotel overlooking Niagra Falls, it's gorgeous and there's tons to do.

Depending on how much you want to spend check out crystal golf resort. It's in nj about 45 min away from NYC and super romantic.

I was just in the Parsipany, NJ Hilton for a conference. The grounds are very pretty and the conference area is elegant. I wasn't in the rooms but I imagine that they must be nice. It's reasonably close to NYC but much more serene and private.
