Five years ago, they used to have 100 pages and go on sale for .50.
Now, they have 80 pages and go on sale for .99.
I guess our kids need to write 20% less than they used to.

...like everything else today.
And they try to market things as "improved" or "more convenient." Like the "easy pour" orange juice containers with less orange juice in them.

they can be less in the 99 cent store sometimes.
My kids usually use less than 1/3 of one. I rip the pages out that were used, write the kid's name over the old name, and presto! Instant notebook.
if they kvetch about it, I give them some stickers to decorate the front cover.
