where in brooklyn (or online?) can I look for clothing that is more classic? I went shopping today and everything was leather, there didn't seem to be any choices at all...I prefer less funky clothing for my little girls (ages 5-12)

I have never seen so much leather in my life. Although Junees JR. does have a lot of leather you can find..non leather also. I was in Freunds last week and they also have pcs. non leather but they don't have much stock yet and all sizes. The women stores are also filled with leather. I wouldn't mind owning 1 or 2 pcs but it seems to be a little out of hand.

I bought myself a robe before I had the baby, a nice black robe with a zipper and a black something on the sleeve. I get to the kimpeturin home and get oohed and aahed how stylish I am cuz I'm wearing leather. I'm like huh?? this is in style? I have no clue, I bought the first thing that fit... I'm so not in style... I cant believe Pleather is the 'in' thing this year.... luckily I only have boys and they wear classic shabbos sweaters, no leather for them!

I love hearing these things because now that I don't live in NY, I see how frum style is its own thing.

The rest of the world is not living in pleather....and BH for that!

Actually, I like this leather and lace dress for kids. Not too mature, IMNSHO

Most stores should have dresses. Just add a cardigan if you need sleeves.

I'm a HUGE fan of lace for little girls!! I just bought my girls gorgeous lacy Shabbos dresses - I bought this for my little one a few months ago: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Precio.....da6d1

But back to the issue at hand - for ages 5 and up, I'd still ebay. I bought this dress last year for DD http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bonnie.....fb5c5

I've also used shells to make a dress like this more tsnius: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bonnie.....7797d

I would love one suede or leather skirt in a dark beige/tan/coffee/cognac/toffee color, size 4-6.
Also a pair of pants in 12 months.
Where did you find the leather pieces?

I think I saw leather leggings in that color at All in One. I would assume that most of the local children's stores have it as well.
As for the skirts I know Toetally You In Flatbush has a leather skirt like that.
If you can't get there, Call Double Header and see if they have it, I think that they have very similar things.

My daughter is still in toddler sizes and I know finding good dress/skirt lengths are an issue for bigger sizes, but I'm hoping to find these kinds of looks....just add a shell or cardigan
