Even when not going into Shabbos I make Simchas Torah night and day very simple - rolls, lox, baked fish, salad, simple dessert.

Reservations!

Our shul is having a big luncheon, but you have to pre-pay. Priceless, IMHO. Very Happy

Nothing. DH will eat at the shul luncheon (which is always ridiculously late because the davening and hakafot etc take forever) and I will take the kids home to sleep.

Apple martini is 2 parts vodka and 1 parts green apple liquor (we use Binyamina's). Shake/stir and serve chilled.

Too difficult for me. I'll have to come for lunch to watch you make it. Will 2 pm be ok?

For those who have Shuls providing your meals. How does it work? DO you pay a fee and it is buffet?
Do you sit together with friends or family. Is it at a specific time or open all day?

Lox & bagels and a salad for Simchas Torah brunch. Our shul does davening at 8:30, people come home for Yomtov brunch at about 11, and then hakafos begin at 1PM.
