I frequently buy a bulb of garlic and end up using only 3 or 4 cloves.
How do I store the rest of the cloves? In the fridge? On the counter? Freezer?
Thanks!

I tend to buy garlic in large quantities because I use so much, but I just leave it on the counter in a little basket. The really good stuff I get from the farmer's market can sit on the counter for months because I use it sparingly.

so you leave the cloves in the skin in the counter , still attached to the bulb?

I also leave them in a basket (in my pantry).
my kids got to it once and peeled them all, and they kept fine as well off the bulb. I did use them all within 10 days so I'm not sure how long they would keep like that!

I use lots of garlic-in just about everything!
I just take what I need, and leave the unused cloves hanging out in the bulb in my basket.
They will dry out , so use them in a couple of days-but that shouldn't be a problem!!
Garlic is so healthy and yummy...Enjoy!

Yes. Don't peel them until you are ready to use them. I leave them in a basket in my pantry.

I leave them next to the onions - they hang around together unpeeled
