Recently I feel I am being so cheap when it comes to buying for myself.
I would spend a lot on my kids but not on me.
How much was the most expensive pair of shoes you ever bought yourself?
And how much was the most expensive outfit?

$220, my mother spent on my shoes for my tenoyim. The buckle matched the buckle on my dress, go figure… I kill shoes so I buy whatever is on sale, and storage it until the next one dies.

the most I will spend on shoes is around $100.00
the most I have spent on a dress was around $300.
I used to go to the ESCADA sample sale cause my sis
worked for them and got great bargains

Was it amazing? What did it look like? My daughter's bridal gown cost $900 and the only reason I let her spend that much is because she is hard to fit so she couldn't find anything else.

Shoes - $100
I don't spend so much on clothing, I wouldn't want to spend more than $200 on a shabbos outfit or gown for a friend's wedding. And I would only wear a gown if I was specifically asked.

A pair of shoes for $100 would be expensive. $100 for a pair of boots on the other hand, would be a good price.
Right before I got married I made my one last splurge and bought myself a hot pink Coach purse for $250- I knew THE BUDGET was about to come into effect. LOL

I like quantity in my wardrobe - so I think $50 for a skirt would be expensive. Unless it completed an outfit.

270 $ for Versace shoes
1200 $ for the civil wedding outfit
2100 $ for my wedding gown

But for a "normal" outfit not for simchos, 400 $ I think. I also have a 300$ jacket and a 300$ skirt (not for every day use but not all dressed up either), and a 1100$ leather bag (I used it as my school bag and now it's a bit spoilt). But the prices come from the label, too bad I didn't know ebay!
