IY"H my husband's bday is coming up. I want to buy a FRESH, delicious cake. It's very important that the cake not come from the freezer - he can tell and he hates it... fineshmecker! (Love him!)
Any recommendations for a really good, fresh cake? I am not from brooklyn but we will IY"H be there for his bday.

HA HA.
But I actually don't like ice cream cake. it's not CAKE! It's square ice cream. And if it has "cake" underneath it, it is usually blech....and frozen solid! No fun to eat.
Still looking for more recommendations.

Kaff's bakery. There is one on J and Nostrand.
If you order a cake in advance they will bake it the day you want if for to your specs. You do not need to be getting something large or extravagant to get this service.

I second Kaff's bakery..they also have one on Ave M and 18th/19th. You can custom order, the cake cream, filling and design
