Hi,
I am genuinely looking for advice or opinions here.
I am
Considering moving to Lakewood next year. For a family of four, what should I expect my
Monthly budget to be? I would have one child on playgroup and one at the babysitter, and DH in BMG.
I would need at least a three bedroom apartment.
I'm not looking to include luxuries (vacation, takeout, gifts, etc) just basics like rent, utilities, insurance, food, childcare...
Also, I would probably not qualify for any government programs.
I know it's pretty vague, but wondering if my current salary could be viable down there.

I'll start out helping with childcare costs:
What hours babysitting?
Typically babysitting is either Bais Faiga schedule or Yeshiva schedule 9:15\9:30 - 2:00 - $4.00 - $4.50 an hour.
Playgroup is Bais Faiga schedule 9:15\9:30 - 2:00 - $200 - $225 per month.
Anything more then that and the costs go up.

Apartments: If you are ok with a basement (most, especially the new ones, are nicer and bigger than the apt. buildings), Depending on location a 3 bedroom 2 bath goes from $1,050-1,250. Utilities, I'm paying about $90 for gas and maybe 60 for elec.
Playgroups run from about 215-235 a month babysitting is about 4 dollars an hour.

OP here. Thanks for the replies so far.
I am assuming apartments closer to Yeshiva are more expensive and perhaps not as nice? If so, is it possible to live further out with only one car? (I would need to take the car to work so are there rides to Yeshiva from places further away?)
Do you know approximately how much you spend per month on groceries?
Are there other expenses that I'm missing?
Appreciate all your help!

The apartments closer to yeshiva may be more and older. They are also harder to find.
You could try looking into Coventry for a small 3 bedroom town house. They aren't too expensive to rent.
You may be able to find rides for your husband to yeshiva from there.
