Eagle and Falcon, St. George and St. Peter
A sky brilliantly lovingly blue
Green tea and pastries -- nothing sweeter
Mountains with a majestic view
Warm sea, warm sand, laughter and talk
All accents and tongues I can hear
The Genoan Fortress, just a short walk
The 14th century is so near
Oblivious to jellyfish, children play
And swim under the mild sun
Warm evening at the close of a bright day
A languid, lazy kind of fun
We've scaled all the mountains in a week
Made friends with Tartars, drunk their tea.
If a perfect holiday you seek
With sun and air and sky and sea
Then come to Crimea -- whosever it may be!

I was twelve and scared, and my grandpa said, look, even the little children are not afraid! And he asked a couple of kids who laughed, don't worry, they don't sting!
But yesterday my grandma cried on the phone, they have taken Crimea from us...
