so I tend to do some work in my ripped jean skirt and t-shirt with paint ... do not always have the time to change and may need to pick up a kid from school or get groceries or even go to walmart ... I get interesting eyes looking at me ... some curious others rude ... but hey who has time to change to run errands ... I rather like my vintage look

I think it's weirder to see men doing yard work in white shirt and black pants.

My dh has his yard/painting clothes and he never changes when running to home depot or sometimes even to pick up kids from school. He doen't care what people say or how they look at him.

I had to work w/ lots of food coloring today. didnt want to ruin any good clothing, so put on dd's old uniform shirt, and kept wiping my hands on it- now I have a new, colorful top-wonder if it will stay on after washing........

hey - those ARE his work clothes! the black pants that are a little shiny and the white shirt that's a bit stained that we set aside for succah building and chometz burning and painting and whatnot. you mean you couldn't tell?!?!

seems silly to spend money to buy clothes for when you need "junk".... but anyway, that IS what's normal here!
