we want to get an outdoor grill my budget is till about $ 250.00
what is important to look for in a grill?
how many btu is considered "enough"
I will be grilling, chicken and meats, especially rib steak and shish kebabs (spelling?)
I almost bought one it was $ 190 and it had 2 burners and a total of 16000 btu it used propaine not coal, is that sufficient ? or is it going to take forever to get a piece of meat well done
anyone know?
also I wold like some good grilling ideas
I especially like chicken shish kabob made with" baby chicken"
anyone know how to make that???
thanks in advance

How many ppl do you need to feed?

We spend 299 but don't forget you need the gas tank, gas, and a cover. Also, can you shlep it home and set it up yourself?

We ended up spending about $500.

if you're gonna be cooking with gas you may as well use the indoor oven ... hey that's my opinions as I like the taste and smell of real wood burning and the real outdoors ... and a real campfire ...

you don't need burners. you can use your stove or that. you just need a large cooking surface toe the grilling, and some side space for your sptauls, sauce, plates, etc.

propane is just another word for the fuel that is used to power the grill - like gas. it heats VERY fast, you turn it on and it's hot. not like coals that take an hour to get hot.

lots of women like to use the gas grill, but I don't know any women who mess with the coal.

any more ?s?

cm - I just said I don't mess with the gas ... so I would be a woman who prefers messing with making coal to cook on a barbque ...

we have a gas grill, with all accersories, (utencils, cover and tank) it ended up something like $400.
it's great, the mess is outside and the food is yum. lately we've been putting in caol over the burners (takes an extra 10 minutes till caol is not firing) but you can not compare the taste!!!
the highet btu the better your food will grill, but 16000 is enough.
if you want a recipe for rib steak, I can give you one that is just heaven.
in the summer we use it really often, it's just that much easier (especially that dh likes to do it)
