You post something.

Somebody "likes" it.

But if you have one "like", it looks as though you did it yourself!

So in order to prove that you didn't - you have to "like" it yourself!

Isn't life strange Exclamation

This can be avoided by posting under your own username.

Hey! I just thought of an idea!

If we can now edit our amother posts, wouldn't it be possible to take away the chance to like our own amother posts?

Wait, are you saying that every time I post as amother, and only one person likes my post, everyone thinks it was me? I never liked my own post, that is rediculous!

Just another thought - if I post as amother, like my own post, and the edit back to my username, do I get to keep my like?

Edited to test my theory

Woohoo! I can like my own post as myself! Life has just gotten way better!

A. Who the heck cares if you liked your own post if you did it anonymously?
B. Why the heck would you like your own post?

It's only one like. I don't care if a post has a single like or none.

If the likes are more than a dozen, that tells me something. Afaik, it's impossible to like your own post more than once, so I agree with the title of this thread...

LOL

I don't really notice how many likes other comments get unless I select the "like" button myself. I definitely have no idea how many likes my own posts have.

Here is a funny story: I was reading through a thread that was one but had been bumped. I read something posted by amother and liked it. Later I noticed that I could edit that post! I had forgotten what I had posted and accidentally liked my post! As soon as I realized that I "un-liked" it...

That is funny!

I found myself on the most liked list one day as amother. Made me regret not using my own name...

Seriously, the liking business is fine, I don't care either way. But the hugging abuse!! That's got to stop!
