Anyone has a recipe for yummy corn muffins?
I want ones that will be moist and crumbly.

I often make this recipe as muffins. I cut the sugar to 1/2 c. and up the oil to 1/2. c.
To make them parve I use orange juice, otherwise I use the milk.
Easy, quick and delicious.

What's wrong with the corn meal that they sell here? Is it very different from Quaker?

What is cornmeal called in Israel? What does the package look like?

It's called קמח תירס or פולנטה. You can buy the local stuff or the imported brands from Italy or Mexico. It comes in a couple of granulations, from fine to coarse.

I don't know if it is different than Quaker but she recommended using a recipe from the Quaker box and that we don't have here. MAybe she could type up the recipe for us? Greenfire?

I love corn meal. I also sometimes use it for pizza dough (instead of semolina) and also for tamale pie.
I generally buy the Italian brand Polenta Bergamasca. I like it better than the domestic brands that I've tried.

Just make sure it doesn't say קורנפלור in Hebrew b/c that's corn starch, which is something completely different.
