This is the recipe I entered in the Bina Shalosh Seudos recipe contest!
Salad
1 "heart" of romaine, cut up
half a bag of other lettuce, Spring Mix preferred
2 tomatoes, sliced
2 large peaches (approx 2 cups) cut up
Arrange in bowl and drizzle with mustard dressing, below. Makes about 6 servings.
Dressing
1/2 cup oil, any kind
6 T vinegar, any kind
2-3 T Dijon mustard
1 T minced garlic
1 tsp sugar
Mix dressing ingredients together in small container and shake. Store leftover dressing in the fridge. Makes about one cup of dressing.

deGoldy, I see lately at simchas the salads have fruit and nuts in them. It does take some getting used to!
You can use the dressing on fish or chicken or other leafy salads. Enjoy it!
Green, the contest is running over the next few weeks.

The many versions of lettuce, mango & strawberry salad are wildly popular and have been for years. Now, tomato and peaches , that'll take getting used to.

fruits in greens have been all the rave over the past many years ... it keeps a variety going ... and encourages more vegetables ... creating a healthy home ... don't knock it till you've tried it ... I never ate spinach till the baby spinach and strawberry salad became popular ... and never thought I would

I have no problem with fruit in salads, but together with vegetables (especially peaches and tomatoes), that's just.............different.
but hey - enjoy!

actually, I have some peaches that weren't ripe on friday when I needed them for my fruit soup.
But today they smell so good.
I think I'm gonna try it for supper, and see how it goes....
