You think so? Is there more than one model? The one I saw was so ugly I wouldn't even think of buying it.

But you wouldn't need the kosher lamp for that--any lamp with a flexible gooseneck would do. Not to mention the Itty Bitty Book Lamp and all the knockoffs thereof.


Those flexible lamps don't "turn off" nearly as completely as a shabbos lamp. I too was a skeptic and thought the Shabbos lamp was stupid until I got one as a wedding present.
