heres my favorite salad I always order at a certain restaurant. I decided to try and make it myself instead of ordering in for dinner two nights ago and it came out really good. its simple and looks nice too.
mix Romaine lettuce, iceberg lettuce- put a nice amount on each plate
slice purple onion and tomato into rings and arrange nicely on top of lettuce.
(add any vegetables here that you think will go well with it. I added green olives and it really added a lot to the salad.)
grill strips of carrots, eggplant, zucchini, green pepper, red pepper- arrange nicely on top of onion and tomato.
grill strips of beef and arrange nicely on top of grilled vegetables.
serve with garlic mayonnaise dressing or balsamic vinagrette dressing.
(best served when vegetables and beef are hot)

I went to there tonight and was thinking of getting that salad. And then I didn't get it.. Man I should have. Its sounds good and yummy... Ok next time I am getting it.

do you know a good recipe for a balsamic vinaigrette similar to their's? I always try, but it never comes close the the one they make.

it beats me how you all guessed which restaurant im talking about  , but I dont really like their balsamic vinegar dressing. it looks and tastes like oil. I just make a mayonnaise dressing (add lots of lemon juice, salt, pepper, garlic, cayenne pepper).
