Hi,
My son needs to see a neurologist for a developmental delays, as well as a suspected genetic disease which may be related... Dr. Wells came highly recommended, but he does not accept my insurance. It would cost me 400-600 dollars for the initial visit with him. I'm wondering if anyone has any experience using him, and could share it with me... Also, any other top neurologist anywhere that would accept a medicaid insurance (fidelis)? Thanks!

He saw us many times when my son was hospitalized in the NICU. We were happy with him.

Hi
We saw Dr Wells about 7 years ago for my child who was exhibiting autistic like tendencies. He was k8nd and pleasant t to deal with. Very calm. That price is pretty typical. I don't think any of the really great top doctors in his league will accept Medicaid. You can verify this by calling Relief for a referral. They will be able to guide you.

Rabbi Shuky Burman recommends Dr. Allan Aron - I think he is at Mt Sinai and takes Medicaid.
Also Marcia Bergtraum at LIJ - but she takes no insurance.

You can see Dr Wells with Medicaid in Bellevue.
Make an appointment for Pediatric Neurology on a Thursday Morning. (thats the only day he works there)
You will see a resident first and then ask for him to bring in Dr Wells.
