She might, but I don't think this is a given at all and if it doesn't work for the OP I wouldn't want her to further think there's something outstandingly obnoxious about her daughter, because I don't think there is. It might work and it could be fun but my guess is at the moment, OP's DD will be doing exactly the opposite of whatever it seems OP wants her to do. So I'd save this for when the relationship's better overall.
