Anyone ever try to make coconut oil at home from scratch, from fresh coconuts?
I searched on google. It doesnt seem to be too difficult, but I want to hear from someone who did it, tried n true methods, tips n tricks...
I think this would be so much easier and cheaper than walnut oil for pesach. And we dont use anything we dont make at home, including the oil and starch

Actually crazy story. I started it last year. You have to let it sit for some time to settle, and my cleaning lady whom I specifically asked to wash it the dishes in the sink and not touch those filled containers, dumped all of it and washed out the containers. It was too close to pesach to try again. And this year I didn't have time to try it. I'm going to have to try it again one day when I have more time. I'll try to update when I do.

She was awful in so many ways, this was just a small part of it. So yes, as soon as pesach was over I let her go.
