does anyone give a small gift to children after they say the mah nishtanah? what ideas are there?

I usually give out small treats throughout the seder. It can be small plastic animals (related to the makot) or just small things to keep them happy and awake...

the dxh would give out chocolate and treats ... I always loved the idea - I do it even with my overgrown kiddies because it keeps them happy

I dont give prizes for mah nishtanah.
one thing that we do is to put out little bowls of marshmallows, pistachios, choc chips (no real candy - I hate food coloring.) on the table to keep the children awake and interested, and every so often pass them to the kids to help themselves to some more treats. They love it.

If you want to spend a little, there is an adorable set of "makkos" finger puppets, found at judaica stores. Kids have a great time with them at the seder.

We give an Oberlanders macaroon...lol...it's what my mother used to do and I followed suit...
