I am going to my in laws for first days and would like to get them a gift. preferably something for seder table. I am newly wed so its the first time I will be at their seder so I dont know what the do and dont have. my dh isn't very observant so he doesn't know either. any ideas? (up to around $120-150)

how many ppl will be at the seder... in my family we have a fairly large table, and therefore have an extra plate of matzah so everyone can take form that to supplement the bits we get from brachot... maybe a nice matzah plate plus cover?

Be careful. You wouldn't want to give something that they have no use for and no room to store. And you definitely don't want to give something that they feel obligated to use instead of something they already have that has a sentimental value.

This year it would be better to bring something perishable or generic (tablecloth?). Then you can observe and ask questions and think of something more meaningful for next year.

How about a nice tablecloth or tablecloth runners? They can use them new for Pesach, or keep them and use them all the year round. I find new tablecloths are always useful - the kind of thing I'd never by myself.
