Anyone have a recipe? DH is requesting this dish, and it has to be parve.

I bought 5 lbs. of green beans on sale. I really need recipes!!

did you try epicurious.com or allrecipes.com or googling?

you can always do the whole subbing of soy milk or pareve creamer...or try a broccoli casserole with green beans instead maybe

here's one I got from googling "green bean casserole"

* 1 can green beans, drained
* 1 can stewed tomatoes -- (16 ounces)
* 1/4 teaspoon dried basil
* pepper -- to taste
* 3 tablespoons dry bread crumbs
* 2 teaspoons butter or margarine

PREPARATION:
In a 1 1/2-quart casserole, mix green beans with stewed tomatoes, pepper, and basil. Sprinkle with bread crumbs and dot with butter. Bake in a preheated 425 degree oven for 25 minutes, or until hot and bubbly.

Thanks! I'll try the recipe sites. I only knew of green bean casserole recipes with cream of mushroom soup. I'm sure if I get creative I'll find a way to use up all these green beans.

My friend has recipes online and one of them is spicy greenbeans from an Indian cookbook (can't remember which) and it's yummy but it calls for some special ingredients:

or there's always green bean almondine which I've seen in the purple cookbook (spice and spirit) but I'm sure there are tons of similar recipes

If you can get the Frenchs fried onions, there's a green bean casserole on back. I use Rokeach mushroom soup instead of cream of mushroom soup.

Or, I posted an Oriental green bean recipe a few weeks ago that is so good that DH insists I make it onec a week for supper.
