I have an upstairs porch ... I sit there on a bistro set - drinking coffee ... I like it cause I feel like I'm in a tree - a large maple tree ... I wonder if weeping willows can grow here too Wink

Just know that willow roots killsewage pipes. they go "hunting " for water up to a distance of 50 feet from teh tree !

we learned teh hard way.
Plant in a large pot on concrete surround

Same for fig trees

but this is a pleasantry ... a visual beauty ... at least it was supposed to be ...

But seriously, a tree on a balcony sounds fabulous. The only "trees" that can survive in my place are coat trees.
