Hi Ladies,
I'm hoping you can help - I'm looking for vacation ideas! The caveats, which is why I'm having trouble figuring things out:
-should be within easy driving distance from NY, or cheap/short flight
-must have access to minyan
please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Poconos, Philadelphia, Hunter mountains, Lancaster, Atlantic City. All of these places have chabad shuls or more.

Do you like city vacations with museums and restaurants or do you like nature and outdoor activities?

2 hours from NY doesn't get you very far, even some of the places mentioned above are 2.5-3 hours away. If you're willing to fly, Niagara Falls is great, and has minyan.

If you don't want to travel far I would suggest going to a hotel in the mountains for a few days. You didn't mention kids but regardless you will have a pool, catered food... a change in scenery. My dh also wouldn't want to go anywhere without a minyan and he also wont go where there is pritzus in the summer. It limits us a lot (so does our finances!) so we basically just go upstate to get away for a few days when we do go. If you are looking for something more adventurous, I'm sure others can help out.

Lake George was also my first thought because of minyan, but it's way more than 2 hours from NYC!
