Looking for suggestions for hotels that are easy to get to by public transportation not far from tourist attractions (downtown?). TIA

Look at any site for listings in Society Hill, Center City (ESP Center City East). Try Tripadvisor or Google hotel discounts. Business hotels (like the different types of Marriotts in Center City) are often cheaper on weekends.
