Mrs. Powitz was my madrichah in seminary, when she was still single! And then my sis's Aim Bayit in Bnos Sarah, like 15 years later (well, my sis is 15 years younger than I am.) I think (according to my math) that would be in 2009-2010.

Didn't read all the responses.
Just wanted to say the following:
I went to seminary in Israel and it changed my life. I'm from a Bais Yaakov background, was a good frum girl etc. I didn't party it up- I went out with my friends and enjoyed the tiyulim but gained a tremendous amount. I'm not saying every single girl should go to seminary- but to bash it in a blanked way for all could only hurt those who want the chance to go.

I happen to have loved seminary and think it was the best thing ever for me. And yet I didn't send my girls to Israel for seminary. They are not me, and their needs were different (and they preferred to attend local seminary).
I don't think my girls have to do everything the way I did it - they are their own people and have their own life to life and their own choices to make.
