I am trying to work with my four-year-old daughter on being nicer to her friends and classmates. She is a popular kid who has lots of friends, but can be very blunt and say things like "your dress is ugly", or "I don't want to play with you". I've been talking to her about being kind, and how these types of comments can hurt feelings, and I would like to find some picture books that I can read with her and use as a springboard to discuss this. Any recommendations?

Oh! Definitely this one:
How Full is Your Bucket
https://www.amazon.com/How-Ful.....VDJRW
You can talk about things that would empty her bucket (and repeat some phrases she uses)... And different ways to fill her friends' buckets... (with kind words, etc)

Sandra Boynton's "But Not the Hippopotamus" is great for toddlers and younger preschoolers- not sure if it's too young for a 4-year-old, but maybe worth a look.
