I was going to go straight to Immediate Reaction but decided to check here first.
Baruch shekivanti.
OP, Brooklyn is big. Can you narrow it down a bit?

Op, if you are not chassidish, check out the runway ny, fame on central for ideas on Instagram. (Fame on central is in 5 towns, but the fashions are the same as Brooklyn.)

I know! and they have the same stuff as Brooklyn stores!!! I just said BSW because they try to post a lot as opposed to Brooklyn stores...or maybe that I've checked out...
but they mostly carry same stuff.

What's in style in Brooklyn? Anything under a size 4.
Seriously
And sadly

I am one of them.
But then again, they're not stylish Brooklyn ladies.
They let just dressed nicely with "regular" clothes😀
The styles now cater to very skinny women only.

Literally not even an ounce of truth to this statement. I'm a size 2 and I don't look stylish. My closest friend who's a size 12-14 always looks amazing and stylish and chic, down to her jewelry and color tights. I wish I knew how to style myself like her. She always looks really cool. I would direct you to her if you wanted help styling. My size has unfortunately never influenced my taste for the better.

Okay like I said I did not get the memo. I care about looking fashionable but I just don't have the touch. Being a healthy strong size 2 may be nice at the gym or in the shower but at shul I don't look cool because I don't have a good sense of fashion. Your size just doesn't magically give you good taste.

Oh please.
Obviously, being a size 2 doesn't make you stylish automatically.
But if you're specifically looking to wear trendy clothes in Brooklyn, then you can only pull it off if you're skinny.

If you have good taste and a good eye, you can dress well. I live in Brooklyn. My most stylish friends are not all thin girls. I didn't respond to what's stylish here, because I'm not good at that, but you're misguiding OP and sending a very discouraging and false message by saying that if she's not a size 4 she should give up.

Completely false. I know many not skinny women dressing very stylish and trendy. And they look amazing.
Btw op, dresses are very in style. Check out Fallon's place, they are more affordable than other stores.

BP tends to get certain styles later. 5 Towns and Flatbush are usually ahead of the trend.
