I like a lot of the names suggested already....what about Eliana (my G-d has answered me) for a girl

On that same note, I love the name Ana-el

I never picked up on Eliana.

We have Chananel. We talked about Netanel, Matan, Chanaya, and Matanya.

I had wanted Hodaya if its was a girl.

I have named my son Rafael, in hope that it is prophetic and Hashem will heal me after his birth, so that I will be able to have more children naturally (so far I have two kids and needed medical help to conceive every time)

the name shmuel has more significance than just the actual meanings written above. Chana chose to name her son this after experiencing many many years of IF. It is an especially poignant name for someone who has experienced the pain she did

You can also use the name hod for a boy. (I'm partial to that name, it's my husbands : )

it from the 10 sefirot and its means glory, but it can also mean hodu, as in thanks.

b'sha tova!

Matanya was a rasha, so not a good idea.

What about Matanel?

Other names in a similar vein - Natanel or Netanyah (for a girl).

I am SO sorry I haven't responded sooner embarrassed but I haven't even been able to unearth the computer much less find time to post till just now. Yes! Cheers and Yes! Flower . B'H, we welcomed Moshe Eliyahu Shmuel and Malka Chaviva Rachel into the world on Monday, September 17 - 5 Tishrei. Moshe's first and second names are after my DH's grandfather and my grandfather respectively, with Shmuel coming from the feedback some of y'all gave me - thanks! I had been thinking about the names suggested and then was sitting in shul on Rosh Hashana reading the haftorah and thinking how appropriate indeed the name Shmuel is. So I suggested it to DH and he agreed. Malka's first name is after my grandmother, Chaviva being the name I had wanted, and Rachel after great aunts on both sides.

B'H they're both healthy and big![/img]

Your son's initials spell "meh-aish" - "from fire", which can allude to salvation. Your daughter's initials spell "machar" - "tomorrow". May you all experience a bright future!
