[b]have you ever bought a mix ? example ( a potato latka mix)
and made up you"R own original recipe? with using that mix?
I am a horrible cook .

I don't know if you want desserts but I use a lot of Duncan Hines mixes and add to them:
Yellow cake+crushed oreos
yellow cake to make strawberry shortcake
brownies+peanut butter+vanilla to make peanut butter brownies
brownies then add a mint cream and chocolate frosting for chocolate brownies.
Also the sides of each box have recipes to "jazz them up"
