Clementine, my 22-year-old DD, wants to have a cheesecake delivered to a friend in Hillcrest, Queens. Of course she waited until the last minute -- the birthday is today. And of course she assumes that I and my fellow Imamothers will help her out.
We used to spend a lot of time in Kew Gardens, but that was over a decade ago, so my information is worthless. And while Google is usually helpful, it didn't give me much to work with on this task.
So if you know a bakery or restaurant or lady who makes cheesecakes in her kitchen on the Hillcrest side of the Van Wyck, please let me know. Clementine thanks you in advance and promises to plan ahead in the future.

Maybe seasons, on main street? I've seen cheesecakes there. Wonder if they have a $ min. for deliveries though
If not, try Aron's Kissena Farms, doesn't hurt to try. And if neither, I'd try Wasserman's on main street.
(It's not really the right time of year for cheesecake....The Pita bakery is still pumping out heavenly sufganiyot
Eta. Now I'm curious. Tell us what she ends up doing!

I'd forgotten all about this one! I'm still partial to "Oedipus Rex," though.

Buy her flowers or some candy or brand new hat
But maybe you had better let it go at that
Or you might wind up with most complex complex.
And . . . you might end up like Oedipus Rex! |
or "New Math":

Thanks, Orchid! You're the best! If Clementine has to ante up a bit of cash to solve this problem, that's on her! I'll let you know how this drama ends!

Try Alan's Bake Shop 718-468-1243.
If C"Y is not an issue, then she may want to consider ordering from Sapienza in Elmont. I don't know if they deliver though. That bakery is amazing! It's a traditional Italian bakery that happens to have hashgacha under the chaf-K. www.sapienzabakeshop.com
