Do you have the purple spice and spirit cookbook? The second recipe (I think its called deluxe) is good, but I found the basic recipe was very dry and crumbly.

If you're too lazy to make the dough, you can use wonton skins.

You can use knaidel batter too....you can also use puff pastry (I know, Defy, it's fattening.)

Knaidel batter is very good, I've made matzah balls stuffed with ground beef before - delicious!

Defy, that sounds delicious and very easy. My 2 main criteria. How do you season the meat? Also, is the meat cooked or raw when you stuff it?

I sautee some onions, and then brown the meat. I usually don't add much seasoning - soup kind of leeches the flavor and ground beef is usually salty enough.

Agreed. Kosher beef is very salty because of the kashering process. I find that in general. I'm with defy. Keep it simple. Hatzlacha!

Thanks 3qt, did you try this recipe, or is it that you found it on the net?
I want a recipe that someone tried it and loved it...is that too much to ask?
