I think that's very nice! I'm a bit surprised they made the character a girl since autism is so much more prevalent in boys.

Yeah... In "Girl Meets World" the character with Aspergers was also a girl. Maybe girls are just imagined as pleasanter, less aggressive, nicer, or more relateable.

I don't think so... The statistics are too skewed- the boy to girl ratio is about 5:1. Why would so many girls go undiagnosed? I work in the autistic population as well as with a lot of children pre-diagnosis and just really don't think that can explain the disparity. Besides, many special needs issues are more prevalent in boys. That's just the nature of the briah.
